If you've been injured on the job the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries or your Self-Insured employer are required to compensate you. Our legal team will help you receive all the workers' compensation benefits to which you may be entitled, including:

  • Medical care Medical bills will be paid directly to the health care provider. If you need to travel more than 10 miles for health care, transportation, food, and lodging costs may also be covered.
  • Time loss compensation Time loss compensation or Loss of Earning Power benefits are paid every 14 days through the Department of Labor & Industries' State Fund program. Some Self-Insured employers pay time loss benefits or Loss of Earning Power benefits weekly or twice a month. Most Self-Insured representatives pay every 14 days. Time loss or Loss of Earning Power benefits are payable as long as your doctor continues to certify that you are unable to return to work. You will receive payments totaling up to 60 to 75 percent of your regular wages, with certain limits and restrictions.
  • Vocational rehabilitation If you are not physically capable of returning to work at your job of injury, you may qualify for up to $4,000 of vocational rehabilitation assistance to help retrain you for another type of work.
  • Permanent partial disability If you sustain a permanent partial disability (PPD), you will be paid a settlement based on your specific type of injury or illness. This is payment for the loss or loss of function of a part of your body.
  • Pensions If your injury or illness results in a total permanent disability, you may be eligible to receive a pension, paid monthly for the rest of your life.
  • Survivor benefits If your spouse's death was caused by a work-related accident, injury, or occupational illness, you and your spouse's dependent children will receive the monthly pension.
